Lo-Quality Warrior: Hitting 78
by lqwow on Feb.24, 2009, under Warrior
It’s been a real challenge to get to 78 with my warrior. Not her fault really, I just enjoy playing my hunter more. That and also I don’t have the drive or interest of brand new content driving me, meaning her progress has been more of a chore than anything else. But at least I made it to 78, just a bit more pushing should bring her to 80 and then I can piddle around with one of my other characters.
Lo-Quality Hunter: Still Here
by lqwow on Feb.18, 2009, under Hunter
Odd title since as far as I know, nobody reads this other than myself. Either way, things have conspired to make it difficult to post. One, work has been busy and I tend to write these things throughout the day at work as a break. Two, this computer, which holds all my web authoring software, has been acting up lately. So finally, a compilation of all the silliness I’ve done in WoW over the past few days…
Lo-Quality Hunter: There Was A Patch?
by lqwow on Feb.11, 2009, under Hunter
We are now up to patch 3.0.9 which my co-worker refers to as a “null-patchâ€. Not exactly but I’m also not really affected by any of the changes. The hunter ones are aimed towards BM hunters, which I do applaud. If a tweak allows those who love to be BMs to be BMs and not lose out on dps, then I’m all for it. Although I am hearing that it doesn’t quite make up the difference just yet. (This post is coming out a bit late because the system I do my web publishing from decided it needed a nap.)
Lo-Quality Warrior: Wrathgate
by lqwow on Feb.10, 2009, under Warrior
I still remember when Burning Crusade came out. Stepping out of the portal, you were greeted by the sight of some very, very big things thrashing around in battle. The landscape in Hellfire Pennisula was pretty cool and the risk of essentially falling off the planet was also interesting. Each new area was pretty cool and having to deal with new factions to get rep with was neat. But through it all, there really wasn’t any particular thing I could talk to others and encourage them to do. Well, in Wrath of the Lich King, that wasn’t the case. If you do anything, I encourage everyone to do the Wrathgate quest line at least once in your playing. You’ll enjoy it.

Lo-Quality Hunter: The Sholazar Factor
by lqwow on Feb.10, 2009, under Hunter
I’m not quite sure why but I could be online for a couple of hours, doing stuff like earning my 100 Dalaran Cooking Awards achievement and doing the odd dailies here and there for money and not get a single bite in the Looking For Group channel. Then I fly into Sholazar Basin and suddenly I get an invite. Usually for somewhere on the other side of the continent. I’m starting to think I’m hidden on the LFG lists until I enter Sholazar.

Lo-Quality Warrior: Not As Clever As I Thought
by lqwow on Feb.09, 2009, under Warrior
I logged in to my warrior with the intent of tweaking my “dps†setup better. Then I made the mistake of checking my achievements for some reason. And I notice I’m very close to getting 130 quests in Borean Tundra, which is the requirement for the Nothing Boring About Borean achievement. I can be so predictable sometimes…

Lo-Quality Hunter: You Get What You Ask For
by lqwow on Feb.09, 2009, under Hunter
After all the stress from the previous days instances and raids, I just wanted a nice relaxing time tonight. So I logged in and did a few dailies, but as usual, I put myself up in Looking For Group. It’s rather late so I doubt I’d get a 25-man anything but you never know. But after no bites for an hour or two, I remove myself from LFG. And wouldn’t you know it, I get an invite to an instance about 5 minutes later. Weird.
Lo-Quality Warrior: Just Puttering Around
by lqwow on Feb.08, 2009, under Warrior
After a long day of raids and PUGs, I just wanted to work on my warrior a bit. And of course, ironically, my guild decides they want to do some runs. But fortunately, our MT is around and I’m really not needed. They still try to convince me but I point out that I’ve been doing runs for hours and was just worn out.

Lo-Quality Hunter: The Good, The Bad, The Average PUG
by lqwow on Feb.08, 2009, under Hunter
Doing Pick Up Groups (PUGs) requires a certain flexibility and patience. You never quite know what you’ll get. Some will group you with guys who really know what they’re doing, who work well together and with you. Others are so dysfunctional that you just want to pull your hair out, where people just can’t get it together no matter what. Most fall in between the two extremes. And it’s very unusual where I get to experience all three in one night.

Lo-Quality Warrior: Bad Omen
by lqwow on Feb.07, 2009, under Warrior
I had originally planned on working on my warrior most of the night but those two instances with my hunter took up quite a bit of time, and the beer distracted me. Now on my warrior, it’s the battle of Omen, and it’s a very, very, very bad battle.
