Lo-Quality Warrior: Jackass Run

by on Jun.02, 2010, under Warrior

PUGs are the bane for most players.  Getting people who may or may not know what they are doing.  Players who are “loot ninjas”.  And of course, the players who just downright jackasses.  Given the nature of the random dungeon in the looking for group interface, you’re going to have some of each.  And unfortunately, my night started with the last set. Lo-Quality Warrior: Grind, Grind All The Time

by on May.24, 2010, under Warrior

Way back when, I sat down and forced myself to grind instances to upgrade my Hunter.  Now I find myself trying to do the same with my Warrior and it’s so painfull.  Part of it, is knowing that since I’m trying to upgrade both her Protection and Fury specs means twice the amount of items to upgrade.  And the other part is the fact that I’ve been running with groups with a good to great skill level and being put into PUGs where it’s obvious people are clueless, it just drives me nuts.

Lo-Quality Warrior: Trying Not To Lose My Temper

by on May.20, 2010, under Warrior

Now PUGs are something people both love and hate, although it’s usually just hate.  Hate it when people don’t do their jobs or have no idea what they should be doing.  Strike that, not knowing what you should be doing isn’t cause for hate, it’s not knowing and not saying anything about it!  (continue reading…)

Lo-Quality WoW: Trying to Catch Up

by on Sep.14, 2009, under General

Yeah, I’ve been slacking on this blog. It’s easy when this is essentially an exercise in writing for me since I have no audience. And I felt I would just write a long general post covering the past week than trying to split everything out as I usually do.

Lo-Quality Hunter: Getting Back in the Groove

by on Mar.13, 2009, under Hunter

Almost a month since my last writing. That’s partially because the computer that has all my web publishing software finally just gave up and it took awhile to repair. And once I got it back, I just wasn’t playing WoW as much. And when I did play, I didn’t really do much. My hunter is mainly at a point where he’s just doing the waiting game of well, waiting for something interesting to come along and do…

Lo-Quality Hunter: Weekend Wrap, Travelers Tundra edition

by on Jan.12, 2009, under Hunter

It’s probably ironic that when I decide to start writing a WoW blog, I actually start playing WoW less. But that’s more a factor of the new television I bought. And since my xbox 360 is the only thing that can use 1080p, it’s what I’ve been messing with. Then again, this weekend would have been limited WoW time regardless with a dinner with friends and having to rush over to my parent’s house to fix their computer. Now I know I was going to write up a bit about my hunter first but some interesting things happened on the weekend that I wanted to write about so my hunter’s introduction will be later. Fortunately I did get some WoW time in and it was primarily on my Hunter. Managed to run a Heroic Violet Hold and finally finish the Lockdown! achievement by killing Erekem. For those who aren’t familiar with VH, the first two bosses you face are randomly chosen from a group of six and for “Lockdown!”, you need to kill each one once. I’ve been to Heroic VH 6 times, and the majority of the time I’ve face Lavanthor and Zuramat. But when Erekem popped up, I remember thinking: “hmm, don’t quite remember this fight” and then when he died and the “Lockdown!” popped, I went “oh, that’s why.” But it was nice getting that achievement.
