Had an oddly busy, yet not busy night.  With no raid scheduled, I debated on what to do and then finally figured I’d putter around on my Warrior.  So I log on and immediately sign up for a random.  And as I waited, I flew over to Sholazar Basin to see if I could wrap up a few more quests. PUGs are the bane for most players.  Getting people who may or may not know what they are doing.  Players who are “loot ninjas”.  And of course, the players who just downright jackasses.  Given the nature of the random dungeon in the looking for group interface, you’re going to have some of each.  And unfortunately, my night started with the last set. Another night off for my Hunter had me once again working with my Warrior.  I’d be happier if I had a clue what I was doing with her.  I’m still primarily running her as a dps, but I should really start blowing the rust off my tank setup but I’m probably even more clueless there. Well as expected, I didn’t get to raid because the guys I normally raid with all joined on to the Palidrons’ 25-man ICC raid and they didn’t have any spaces available.  Of course that leaves me free to join this other 25-man raid I keep getting invited to.  We’ll just have to see which ones will pick me up. Way back when, I sat down and forced myself to grind instances to upgrade my Hunter.  Now I find myself trying to do the same with my Warrior and it’s so painfull.  Part of it, is knowing that since I’m trying to upgrade both her Protection and Fury specs means twice the amount of items to upgrade.  And the other part is the fact that I’ve been running with groups with a good to great skill level and being put into PUGs where it’s obvious people are clueless, it just drives me nuts.

Now PUGs are something people both love and hate, although it’s usually just hate.  Hate it when people don’t do their jobs or have no idea what they should be doing.  Strike that, not knowing what you should be doing isn’t cause for hate, it’s not knowing and not saying anything about it!  (continue reading…)

Another night of no ICC raid.  Then again, rarely do we do anything near the reset.  It’s been a bit disjointed, as if killing the Lich King once was enough and right now, nobody wants to really see him again.   (continue reading…)

With my Warrior’s new found riches in gear, it was time to get them gemmed and enchanted.  Except I wasn’t quite sure what I should be gemming or enchanting for.

As I said in my last post, I had agreed to give the Shaft of Glacial Ice he had won over to our druid tank.  Both of us had a Lupine Longstaff equipped, so all things being equal, it made more sense for him to have it.  Took me awhile to track him down but I did hand it over.
