Lo-Quality Warrior: Just Puttering Around
by lqwow on Feb.08, 2009, under Warrior
After a long day of raids and PUGs, I just wanted to work on my warrior a bit. And of course, ironically, my guild decides they want to do some runs. But fortunately, our MT is around and I’m really not needed. They still try to convince me but I point out that I’ve been doing runs for hours and was just worn out.
What I didn’t mention is that I was again back to my “dps†setup and wanted to see how well it goes. Apparently it doesn’t go well. Either that or I was much higher lever with my hunter when I did some of these quests because I found myself dying quite a bit. Oddly enough, I’m still move effective in the damage department while in my defensive stance rather than either my berserker or battle stances. Go figure.
But I manage to do quite a bit in Dragonblight. Mainly the various dragonshrine quests, which are very interesting. The funniest is the Bronze dragonshrine where you get to fight a battle alongside your “future selfâ€. Apparently my “future self†is quite good because she’s able to kill her mob much faster than I’m able to kill mine. It’s bad enough when I’m getting my butt kicked by other players but when it’s my own character outshining me…
Not much else to say really. Even switching to gear with more strength and expertise, I’m still not doing the damage output I see when I’m in my full defensive gear. I think part of the problem is that I just don’t generate as much rage in battle or berserker. That means my special abilities aren’t kicking off. I’m sure there’s also some aspects of the warrior class that I’m just not doing right. Especially after spending hours on my hunter, going to my warrior takes an adjustment and I just don’t have the flow down. Ah well, we’ll see how I do once my warrior gets some decent tanking gear and starts doing instances again.
