Lo-Quality Hunter: 3.2 First Impressions

by on Aug.05, 2009, under Hunter

Considering this is a patch post, I probably should be writing this under my generic title. The problem is, most of my experience was doing it as my hunter and my hunter, who I play the most, is the one I would have the easiest time noticing any changes. So it’s being shoved under my “Lo-Quality Hunter” rather than “Lo-Quality WoW” label.

Lo-Quality WoW: Patch Day! 3.2 is Here!

by on Aug.04, 2009, under General

Well, I was going to write about the very funny Naxx 25 I tacked into last night. Or some of the insanity I’m going through, leveling or upgrading gear on my alts. Except patch 3.2 came out and I’m going to be extremely distracted.

Lo-Quality Mage: I’m Such An Idiot

by on Aug.03, 2009, under Mage

With the downtime I had, I decided to work on my Mage for a bit. Among other things, I wanted to get her mining skill up so she can start making saronite bars, which are used to make the ammo for my hunter. I had gotten a lot of saronite ore cheap and then realized I didn’t have anyone who could smelt them into bars.

Lo-Quality Hunter: Weekend Wrap, Northern Exposure Edition

by on Aug.03, 2009, under Hunter

Another relatively quiet weekend. I didn’t even receive any raid invites, although I did try. We had our guild run on Friday night, paired up with the guild Fever this time, whom our druid has done some runs with. But we had some problems with that one and it never really got going.

Lo-Quality Warlock: Me and My Blueberry

by on Jul.30, 2009, under Warlock

As I had mentioned, I got to play some of my lower level alts, among which was my warlock. A little bitty gnome, currently at lvl 23, that I’m trying to level up a bit since he’s my engineer and I go through a lot of ammo on my hunter. He’s a bit similar to my hunter in that I have a pet to mess around with, except I’m positive his pets hate him since they have a habit of grabbing a bunch of mobs and getting my warlock killed. That’s what you get when you bind demons I guess.

Lo-Quality Hunter: Now With Fewer Deaths!

by on Jul.30, 2009, under Hunter

Yup, we went back into Ulduar once more. But first, I logged on a little earlier since I couldn’t quite remember what time the raid was supposed to be. Plus, it takes a few minutes for my computer to “settle down” before I start really playing. Until I do, it’s weird bursts of lag or strange noises from my laptop. In many ways my laptop is like myself, it takes awhile to get itself straightened out after waking up.

Lo-Quality Hunter: Personal Failure

by on Jul.29, 2009, under Hunter

I spend so much time getting to the point that people think I’m at least decent at the game, that they want to invite me when there’s an open spot, and then nights like last night happen. I finally get into an Ulduar 25 and I spent most of it dead. And I’m also convinced my computer is trying to sabotage me as well, making me look like even further like a noob.

Lo-Quality Druid: Shapeshifting, Then and Now

by on Jul.28, 2009, under Druid

My druid is a “lunchtime” alt. She was created when a co-worker started playing WoW during lunch, so that I would have an appropriate level character to help her. Yes, I could slaughter things without blinking with my hunter, but I feel that having a similarly leveled characters makes it more fun for all. However, I sort of stopped playing during lunchtime and my druid fell to the wayside for a little bit, languishing at level 13 for months.

Lo-Quality Hunter: The Decision to Stay

by on Jul.28, 2009, under Hunter

Right before the weekly downtime is always a slightly odd period. People are rushing to finish up raid instance runs or other weekly things before the reset. So I figured I’d get a chance to maybe slip into a Naxx 10 or 25. And I did, I got invited to a Naxx 10 that was planning on going through the Military quarter, although they weren’t sure if they were going beyond that. Since the Military quarter was the one I never did in the Naxx 10 version, I thought it would be a nice way to end the week.

Lo-Quality Warrior: DPS Okay, Tanking Bad

by on Jul.27, 2009, under Warrior

My warrior got a bit of a workout this weekend. At some point last month, I had finally set her up to duel-spec as a Fury since she wasn’t getting called on too often to tank anymore. This has allowed me to more or less retire my hunter for heroic instances and have her go in instead.
