PUGs are the bane for most players.  Getting people who may or may not know what they are doing.  Players who are “loot ninjas”.  And of course, the players who just downright jackasses.  Given the nature of the random dungeon in the looking for group interface, you’re going to have some of each.  And unfortunately, my night started with the last set. With Palidron’s doing their 25-man’s on Tuesday and Wednesday (US time), it looks like my raiding time is going to be restricted to the weekends for the forseeable future.  Which isn’t bad, that gives me time to goof off a little.  My main problem is that we’ve picked up some newer raiders and it’s slowed us back down again. Having missed the Agency’s 10-man ICC yesterday, I wasn’t sure if I’d get any raid time this week.  That’s when the former Schrödinger’s Cats contacted me for a 10-man.  So off we went. (continue reading…)

Another night off for my Hunter had me once again working with my Warrior.  I’d be happier if I had a clue what I was doing with her.  I’m still primarily running her as a dps, but I should really start blowing the rust off my tank setup but I’m probably even more clueless there. Well as expected, I didn’t get to raid because the guys I normally raid with all joined on to the Palidrons’ 25-man ICC raid and they didn’t have any spaces available.  Of course that leaves me free to join this other 25-man raid I keep getting invited to.  We’ll just have to see which ones will pick me up. Last week, the guild leader of Schrödinger’s Cats mentioned that they were in discussion to merge with another guild called Palidrons.  While this doesn’t affect me directly since I never joined their guild, it does potentially affect my “standing” on their raid team.  And I found out yesterday, they formally joined Palidrons. Way back when, I sat down and forced myself to grind instances to upgrade my Hunter.  Now I find myself trying to do the same with my Warrior and it’s so painfull.  Part of it, is knowing that since I’m trying to upgrade both her Protection and Fury specs means twice the amount of items to upgrade.  And the other part is the fact that I’ve been running with groups with a good to great skill level and being put into PUGs where it’s obvious people are clueless, it just drives me nuts.

Now PUGs are something people both love and hate, although it’s usually just hate.  Hate it when people don’t do their jobs or have no idea what they should be doing.  Strike that, not knowing what you should be doing isn’t cause for hate, it’s not knowing and not saying anything about it!  (continue reading…)

If it seems like I’ve been focusing on my Warrior exclusively, I really haven’t.  I just haven’t raided on my Hunter lately.  I have been doing his dailies, because a little extra gold is always a good thing.  I also ran a few randoms and a few non-raid things, just for achievements, because that’s part of my psychosis.
