Lo-Quality Hunter: Still Booming
by lqwow on Feb.05, 2009, under Hunter
Work decided to keep me busy the past few days, although I did squeeze WoW time in of course. Not that this is being read anywhere. But quite a bit has happened over the past few days, so let’s see how much I can remember.
Lo-Quality Rogue: Can You Open This For Me?
by lqwow on Feb.02, 2009, under Rogue
The person who introduced me to WoW played a rogue. He loved it. His rogue would slaughter things left and right, with nary a care in the world. Watching his rogue take on higher level things and just devastate them was amazing to me. One of my guildmate’s friends joined in and his rogue was one of the most powerful characters I “knewâ€. At lvl 60, he would take us in to Stratholme where he would kill things so fast, I was lucky if I got a shot or two before it was dead. When BC came out, while I was leveling either every day or every other day, he was going up a level or two a day. Why did I create a rogue, with these fine examples to go by? I created her so she could open stuff for the guild…
Lo-Quality Hunter: New Mittens
by lqwow on Feb.02, 2009, under Hunter
Most of the day was spent doing SuperBowl related thing. In other words, I watched a lot of tv. But I did get some WoW time in and was semi-productive for some of it. Any night I end up with some new gear and achievements is nice. I could have really done without the irritating warlock in Auberdine though.
Lo-Quality Hunter: Finally an Elder
by lqwow on Feb.01, 2009, under Hunter
I’ve been trying for the past couple of days to get into a Heroic Halls of Stone. But, I felt I just had to move on. So this weekend I tried getting into just a regular Halls of Stone. And it still took awhile before I finally got in a group. But heck, I needed to start doing other stuff, so I’ll take it.

Lo-Quality Hunter: Surviving as a Hunter
by lqwow on Jan.30, 2009, under Hunter
Another quiet night on the WoW front. There was a brief Wintergrasp battle I was in but it was hardly worth mentioning. I still attempted to get into a Heroic Halls of Stone but had no luck. I did get invited to other instances, and you know things are slow if people are desperately trying to fill dps slots on runs. Did some wandering around Kalimdor, but I’m still having trouble finding quests I haven’t done. So with nothing else to talk about, let’s talk about how and why I’m a Survival Hunter.
Lo-Quality Hunter: Glad Nobody Reads This
by lqwow on Jan.30, 2009, under Hunter
I’m so glad nobody reads this blog. It’s not been advertised and most people, even my guildmates, don’t even know that it’s out there. Frankly I’d be surprised anyone is reading this, essentially making these posts long talks to myself. But the reason I’m glad nobody reads this is because my last post would have sent up a flurry of flamed posts or comments. Then again, most of my posts are like that since they’re my opinion and not everyone is gonna agree.
Lo-Quality Hunter: Taxi for Hire
by lqwow on Jan.29, 2009, under Hunter
If you can hear crickets chirping, it’s because adventuring around last night was very quiet. I’m still short a Halls of Stone run for that very last Elder but all the runs last night seemed to be for regular and not heroic. Yes, it’s easier on regular than on heroic but if you’re sitting there as a lvl 80, you should be doing things in heroic unless you absolutely have no idea about the fights, then maybe a regular run to get familiar with it, but that’s it. But since I didn’t have a run and I was bored, I puttered around the classical lands.
Lo-Quality Warrior: What Am I Doing?
by lqwow on Jan.28, 2009, under Warrior
Since I realized that this blog has been primarily my hunter with a general rant here or there, I figured I would kill some time writing about my warrior, Aleania. Oddly enough, she’s one of the few characters with a “real†name. I’ll go into how I name my characters later but it’s rare to have my character’s name match one from the real world.

Lo-Quality Hunter: Staff Envy
by lqwow on Jan.28, 2009, under Hunter
Because of a late start to the night, I didn’t get nearly as much done as I would have liked. But I still got a few instances in, knocked up one more Elder and even got a brand new staff, the same staff I passed on the night before. Now why couldn’t the Sonic Spear drop like that when we were running all those Shadow Lab runs over and over?
Lo-Quality Hunter: For Want of a Healer
by lqwow on Jan.27, 2009, under Hunter
Every so often, I just have one of those nights. Got invited to a 10-man Naxx that fell apart because we were short a healer. Got invited to a Heroic Nexus, no healer. Heroic Drak’Tharon? No healer in sight. Another Heroic Nexus, again no healer. Heroic Old Kingdom? You mean your hunter’s not a healer? 10-man OS, oh but we need a healer or two. On Draenor, in BC, it was tanks that tend to go missing. I think with the addition of Death Knights and the reworking of tank classes in general, tanks became easier to grab and now it’s the healers turn.
