Okay, since I already have a habit of being wordy, and because of the long weekend, I’ll just go over the highlights of our ICC run over the past couple of days.  Actually, there was a debate initially if we were just going to extend the instance from last week when we were at the Lich King or just go ahead and start anew.  It turned out that most of us didn’t care, so we went in from the beginning.  (continue reading…)

After spending most of the other night repeatedly getting my add kicked by Sindragosa, I was not looking forward to another night of repeated wipes.  And I was half right, we did wipe repeatedly.  I just had the wrong boss. (continue reading…)

Friday’s night was interesting in all sort of wrong ways.  I already hadn’t been sure if I’d make it because of a birthday dinner.  Well, at dinner I did my normal drinking and when we finished, I was happy to find that I had made it home in time for the raid.  And I was still feeling the effects of the drinks. Well it was time for our 10-man weekly, and I knew our raid leader wasn’t going to be on, so the assistant raid leader was in charge.  The main problem was that our raid leader is also our best tank.  In fact, of the tanks we normally use, none of them were available.  I also knew there were a few others who were saying their availability may be bad this week.  So I wasn’t even sure how we’d do. Apparently, quite a bit because we spent most of last night trying to get people to do the bite part of the Blood Queen fight correctly.  Everything else, the air phase, the shifting shadow, the blood link thingy, all worked.  (Well, except one air phase where I died but that was partially my fault.)  (continue reading…)

So I log on at my normal time to suddenly see a patch being loaded.  Uh oh, that’s usually never a good thing.  Except it’s primarily a null-effect patch.  What do I mean?  The big thing it adds is the Ruby Sanctum, which isn’t available for North America!  The vote kick feature has been changed, but I rarely use it.  The chat frames are different, but I haven’t done anything with it.  And I can now add friends based off their battle.net accounts, which I don’t know.  So pretty much the patch did nothing to me except cause a few errors in several of my addons! Friday night we gathered to continue our raid.  Instead of starting off with Blood Prince Council, we decided to tackle the Plague bosses since we were pretty sure we could do that.  So first up was Rotface on Heroic. (continue reading…)
