I finally scrounged up enough tokens to get the last piece of Brewfest attire to get my Disturbing the Peace achievement, which of course also netted me the Brewmaster achievement. I finally got myself into a 10-man Trial of the Crusader last night. Only problem was, I was half asleep when we did it. Fortunately, I didn’t make too many mistakes, especially since it was the first time I saw the majority of those fights. Maybe I should be half-asleep more often on the raids.

As we head into October, Brewfest hits in Azeroth. And among other things, it marks the fact that we are coming up on the anniversary of when achievements were added to WoW. Why do I remember that? Because when achievements came out, there was a big uproar concerning the What A Long, Strange Trip It’s Been achievement, specifically the ones necessary for the Brewmaster, and even more specifically, the Brew of the Month. Why? Because like myself, many people didn’t join the Brew of the Month club because we thought it was a nice, but unnecessary item and would probably still think that way if there wasn’t an achievement related to it.

Nobody wants my hunter apparently. I usually put myself in for a couple of raids and the heroic daily. So far, I was denied a 10-man Trial of the Crusader since I haven’t been past the first fight (and ironically, I had better gear than everyone else in that raid) and a heroic that apparently couldn’t find five people short of rolling up another account and alt.

That was the longest half-level ever. For some reason, it just seemed to take forever to get the xp to finally get to 80 and that’s with the heirloom chest and shoulder pieces. And I still was doing quests in bunches, it just seemed to drag on and on.

As is usual in my life, things are just a bit chaotic which then reflects in other areas like this blog. Fortunately, there’s little to no readership so nobody misses anything. This whole blog is generally a conversation with myself but since I’m writing it down instead of speaking out loud, I appear less crazy.

Yup, the new arena season is up but since I don’t really do arena anymore and I haven’t gotten into a trial of the crusader, the big thing this brings up is the new Vault of Archavon boss – Koralon. But before we get to him, here’s a few other things that happened.

Considering all the bad luck I’ve been having with Trial of the Champion with my hunter, I decided to focus on getting dailies done and building my cash reserve. And naturally, I didn’t quite get that far. It was a busy weekend in RL, so by the time I got a chance to get on to Wow, I didn’t always finish my dailies in time. But conversely, I did end up in Ulduar a bit so it was a trade off.

Well, there was no blog yesterday, not because I was lazy or busy. It’s because Microsoft decided to have me frothing at the mouth for a couple of hours. There was a Windows Update that hosed a bunch of computers, including my brand new laptop. It took me 3 hours of troubleshooting and recovery before I was back up and by then I was too tired and pissed off to really play. But I tried to make up for it last night.

A rather short night for my hunter, although that’s become something of a standard lately. I managed to get in my dailies, greatly assisted by the Argent Crusader’s Tabard allowing for a quick port over to the tournament grounds. However, when I tried to get into a Heroic Trial of the Champion, that’s where things took an extremely wrong turn.
