Lo-Quality Hunter: Lunar Festival
by lqwow on Jan.26, 2009, under Hunter
It’s the Lunar Festival and I’m still taking medication! Now Northrend gets a bunch of Elders, of which an annoying number are in instances, which means people who probably don’t do many instances are doing them and others who sort of know what’s going on but really don’t are out there as well. So Achievements, a couple of old quests, and a handful of instances. Not bad for being out of commission for a few days.
Lo-Quality Hunter: Sick Run
by lqwow on Jan.21, 2009, under Hunter
It’s amazing, I apparently get more done in WoW when I’m sick. Somehow, people must sense when I wanted to call it a night and that’s when I start getting invites. And of course, being the moron I am, I probably stayed on way past the point I should have. Medicated, tired, sick, it’s amazing I got things accomplished at all…
Lo-Quality Hunter: I Got a New Hat!
by lqwow on Jan.20, 2009, under Hunter
Not that I set out to get a new hat, but it just worked out that way. I was actually planning on a short WoW night since the cold has been slapping me around a bit. But any night where I get to experience a new raid instance, pick up a couple of achievements, and get a shiny new hat? Well, that’s a good night.
Lo-Quality Hunter: Weekend Wrap, Exhausted and Sick edition
by lqwow on Jan.19, 2009, under Hunter
Again, a relatively uneventful weekend. Primarily due to a lack of sleep and coming down with a cold. But I did get some WoW time in, and that’s what’s important.

Lo-Quality Hunter: Me and my bow
by lqwow on Jan.14, 2009, under Hunter
I haven’t done much recently in-game except for a brief Heroic Violet Hold run and a very odd, very laggy Alterac Valley BG. The VH run was only notable in that in made me realize how just plain lazy some players can be. Both the daily and heroic daily dungeon quests givers are a little outside the VH instance door. Yet, one person kept asking for us to share the heroic daily (which was VH.) When I checked, I was flying in from Dragonblight and HE WAS STANDING IN VIOLET HOLD! In the time it would take me to fly over there and get over to the VH door, he could have easily picked up the quest directly from the quest giver. And then there were the two others, both who needed to be let into VH. Now to get the key to VH, you talk to someone outside the door, go across town and then talk to someone to get the key. This is a quest you can get as of level 75, it’s easy and most people are bumming around Dalaran doing nothing, so how does one not go and get this key? I swear it boggles the mind at times…
Lo-Quality Hunter: Weekend Wrap, Travelers Tundra edition
by lqwow on Jan.12, 2009, under Hunter
It’s probably ironic that when I decide to start writing a WoW blog, I actually start playing WoW less. But that’s more a factor of the new television I bought. And since my xbox 360 is the only thing that can use 1080p, it’s what I’ve been messing with. Then again, this weekend would have been limited WoW time regardless with a dinner with friends and having to rush over to my parent’s house to fix their computer. Now I know I was going to write up a bit about my hunter first but some interesting things happened on the weekend that I wanted to write about so my hunter’s introduction will be later. Fortunately I did get some WoW time in and it was primarily on my Hunter. Managed to run a Heroic Violet Hold and finally finish the Lockdown! achievement by killing Erekem. For those who aren’t familiar with VH, the first two bosses you face are randomly chosen from a group of six and for “Lockdown!â€, you need to kill each one once. I’ve been to Heroic VH 6 times, and the majority of the time I’ve face Lavanthor and Zuramat. But when Erekem popped up, I remember thinking: “hmm, don’t quite remember this fight†and then when he died and the “Lockdown!†popped, I went “oh, that’s why.†But it was nice getting that achievement.
