Having missed the Agency’s 10-man ICC yesterday, I wasn’t sure if I’d get any raid time this week.\u00c2\u00a0 That’s when the former Schr\u00c3\u00b6dinger’s Cats contacted me for a 10-man.\u00c2\u00a0 So off we went.<\/p>\n
We wanted to start of doing it in Heroic mode again.\u00c2\u00a0 So we cleared the mobs and made our way to Marrowgar.\u00c2\u00a0 And basically, got our heads handed to us repeatedly.\u00c2\u00a0 Marrowgar seemed to unerringly target our healers somehow.\u00c2\u00a0 They usually were the first to go down over and over.<\/p>\n
I know at least once it was because a new healer on the run hadn’t gotten himself out of the cold flame on the ground.\u00c2\u00a0 And he was the one would actually admitted it was his fault, so at least he didn’t try to weasle out of it.\u00c2\u00a0 Not sure what happened the other times.\u00c2\u00a0 I do know one time I died because I somehow ended up completely surrounded by cold flame lines when Marrowgar came over to me and starting his whirlwind right on top of me.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n
We tried several times and just didn’t get close.\u00c2\u00a0 I think the best we did was rub him down to 12% hp or so.\u00c2\u00a0 And it wasn’t as if we were doing anything very unusual in our tactics, we’ve done it this way the last couple of times.\u00c2\u00a0 It just wasn’t coming together.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n
So we finally gave up and switched to normal and kicked his bony butt.\u00c2\u00a0 Then it was on to Deathwhisper where we went back to Heroic mode.\u00c2\u00a0 This one was almost as bad.\u00c2\u00a0 I know I screwed up on the first try because by the time we hit phase 2, I was completely out of mana.\u00c2\u00a0 Not often I get that low nowadays.<\/p>\n
This time, I want to say it was a dps issue because most of our wipes were because we’d either get overwhelmed by adds or we killed one group of adds only to have the next group already appearing, leaving no time to dps Deathwhisper herself.\u00c2\u00a0 I know part of the problem was that we only had one real “magical dps” which meant it took awhile to kill the physical-damage resistant adds.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n
We also had a few crowd control issues.\u00c2\u00a0 Between two hunters, a priest, druid and rogue, we should have had it but more often than not, a mind-controlled raider would run rampant around us.\u00c2\u00a0 In fact our priest was rather annoyed by one such failed CC.\u00c2\u00a0 “Dammit Key, I threw a fear at you and you resisted it!\u00c2\u00a0 How’d you pull that off?”\u00c2\u00a0 “Well, you’re just not that scary.”\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n
And on another attempt, the other hunter got MC’d and managed to off one of our healers.\u00c2\u00a0 “Rodman killed Rad?”\u00c2\u00a0 “Yeah, check the logs”\u00c2\u00a0 “Well, I know one hunter who’s not getting any more heals…”\u00c2\u00a0 Another time, our rogue got MC’d and I accidentally shot him with an Explosive Shot<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 “No Key, don’t kill me!”\u00c2\u00a0 “Yeah, like I’d be able to do enough damage to kill you.”\u00c2\u00a0 Which was ironic because a couple of tries later, he tried to stun me while I was MC’d and I managed to kill him with a Volley<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n Another try, we got to phase 2, didn’t lose anyone but took so long that Deathwhisper hit her enrage timer and smashed us flat.\u00c2\u00a0 And I indirectly caused at least one other death when a spirit spawned\u00c2\u00a0almost on top of me and exploded near enough to another player that he died as well.\u00c2\u00a0 I had to\u00c2\u00a0start going to extreme range to prevent that from happening.\u00c2\u00a0 I just couldn’t get away from the spirits fast enough for some reason.<\/p>\n We finally declared “one more try and then we’ll call it.”\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0And\u00c2\u00a0of course, that’s when we finally succeed.\u00c2\u00a0 But man it was brutal.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0I think practically all the mana\u00c2\u00a0users were\u00c2\u00a0almost\u00c2\u00a0dry and several times I saw our tanks close to dropping.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n But since we got that far, we decided to\u00c2\u00a0do the gunship battle since it’s relatively easy even on heroic.\u00c2\u00a0 Which started out rather oddly when my guildmate managed to run completely off the ship and die.\u00c2\u00a0 Which told me how tired he was, I know I’ve done that before.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n \u00c2\u00a0This time, we did have two melee\u00c2\u00a0dps so they got the cannons.\u00c2\u00a0 I also adjusted my tactics slightly.\u00c2\u00a0 I usually have my pet on aggressive but near me, so\u00c2\u00a0he’ll either be attacking on the ship or hop over with\u00c2\u00a0me on the boarding action and then run around over there.\u00c2\u00a0 This time, I parked him with the tank defending our airship, but still on aggressive.\u00c2\u00a0 As far as I know that worked, but I was too busy to check.<\/p>\n This went a lot\u00c2\u00a0better.\u00c2\u00a0 Between the\u00c2\u00a03 ranged dps, we usually were able to clear the axe throwers, turn around and take out the horde boarders, and then have time to hop\u00c2\u00a0over to the horde ship as well.\u00c2\u00a0 Or at least, that’s what I did.\u00c2\u00a0 \u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n So we got through that and just called it at that point.\u00c2\u00a0 Knowing the group, we’ll probably do Saurfang on heroic a few times, but I’m not sure if we’d able to take him or not.\u00c2\u00a0 Personally, I just want another shot at the Lich King.\u00c2\u00a0 If only my Warrior was better geared so I can have her doing these runs…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Having missed the Agency’s 10-man ICC yesterday, I wasn’t sure if I’d get any raid time this week.\u00c2\u00a0 That’s when the former Schr\u00c3\u00b6dinger’s Cats contacted me for a 10-man.\u00c2\u00a0 So off we went.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"footnotes":""},"categories":[7],"tags":[66,49],"class_list":["post-116","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-hunter","tag-hunter","tag-icecrown-citadel"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/loqualityproducts.com\/blogs\/lqwow\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/116","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/loqualityproducts.com\/blogs\/lqwow\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/loqualityproducts.com\/blogs\/lqwow\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/post"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/loqualityproducts.com\/blogs\/lqwow\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/loqualityproducts.com\/blogs\/lqwow\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=116"}],"version-history":[{"count":0,"href":"https:\/\/loqualityproducts.com\/blogs\/lqwow\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/posts\/116\/revisions"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/loqualityproducts.com\/blogs\/lqwow\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=116"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/loqualityproducts.com\/blogs\/lqwow\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcategories&post=116"},{"taxonomy":"post_tag","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/loqualityproducts.com\/blogs\/lqwow\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Ftags&post=116"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
