Well as expected, I didn’t get to raid because the guys I normally raid with all joined on to the Palidrons’ 25-man ICC raid and they didn’t have any spaces available.\u00c2\u00a0 Of course that leaves me free to join this other 25-man raid I keep getting invited to.\u00c2\u00a0 We’ll just have to see which ones will pick me up.<\/p>\n
Although oddly enough, the guild leader from the Agency contacted me saying they were planning on run the next day.\u00c2\u00a0 Considering I hadn’t heard from him since the guys from Schr\u00c3\u00b6dinger’s Cats split off, I’m assuming he heard about their merger and knew that would free some of us up.\u00c2\u00a0 Plus, the Agency had moved their raids to an earlier time I couldn’t make, but I guess several members still preferred the late night raids so that’s what they’ll try and do for awhile again.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n
So, being at loose ends again, I worked on my Warrior once more.\u00c2\u00a0\u00c2\u00a0 It took a few tries but I soon found myself on a Ahn’kahet: The Old Kingdom run.\u00c2\u00a0 Which I was pretty sure was one of the few I hadn’t done so far.\u00c2\u00a0 Fortunately, I have done it enough times as my Hunter to still vaguely remember what to do for each boss.<\/p>\n
Elder Nadox was cake, even having to briefly switch to hitting his Guardian.\u00c2\u00a0 And even then, we only had one Guardian spawn.\u00c2\u00a0 For Prince Taldaram, we just powered through with the healer keeping us all up.\u00c2\u00a0 And to be honest, the flame sphere were actually good for me since it kept my rage meter up.<\/p>\n
We then went straight to Herald Volazj so that we could do the All Things in Good Time<\/a> quest.\u00c2\u00a0 Fortunately, our group makeup was one of those that didn’t cause us excess issues during the insanity phase.\u00c2\u00a0 In fact, I was able to gather up the clones, do a whirlwind, and I was out from under the debuff almost immediately.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n Since Volazj was down and that was all you technically needed to satisfy the random instance requirement, one of our dps left the group.\u00c2\u00a0 Fortunately, the tank, healer and other dps were all in the same guild and had apparently decided to do a full run, even with a man short.\u00c2\u00a0 Which made me a bit happy since who knows if I’d ever get a chance for a full clear in that place without begging help from guildmates.<\/p>\n So next we took on Jedoga Shadowseeker.\u00c2\u00a0 The tank said not to hit the adds so that we could go for the Volunteer Work<\/a> achievement.\u00c2\u00a0 Which wasn’t bad until the tank forgot about Shadowseeker’s knockback attack.\u00c2\u00a0 It knocked him off the dias we were on and caused Shadowseeker to reset.\u00c2\u00a0 We laughed about it and then tried it again.\u00c2\u00a0 This time we had no problems and\u00c2\u00a0 I got the achievement.<\/p>\n And along with the Volunteer Work achievement, I also managed to pick up the Ahn’kahet: The Old Kingdom<\/a> and Northrend Dungeonmaster<\/a> achievements.\u00c2\u00a0 And again, this was a point most other groups might have stopped, mainly because quite a few people (even myself the first few times) didn’t realize there was an extra boss in the Old Kingdom in heroic mode.<\/p>\n So we hunted down Amanitar.\u00c2\u00a0 I had to be careful with my aoe attacks since I didn’t want to be killing the healthy mushrooms near me too soon.\u00c2\u00a0 Even then I had to search a little bit to find a healthy mushroom to use.\u00c2\u00a0 But soon enough, Amanitar died and I gained my Northrend Dungeon Hero<\/a> and Heroic: Ahn’kahet: The Old Kingdom<\/a> achievements.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n So I gleefully thanked the group and left at that point.\u00c2\u00a0 As a side note, if you’re ever in a group with me and I don’t thank you at the end, it means I was pissed off about the run and more then likely pissed at<\/em> someone as well.\u00c2\u00a0 I knew that the Northrend Dungeonmaster achievement also gives you a new tailoring pattern so I went immediately back to Dalaran and learned how to make a Wispcloak<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0<\/p>\n Which had me a little excited until I realized it was a caster cloak.\u00c2\u00a0 Considering my mage is the only one that can actually use it, I think I should have checked to see what the pattern made before getting all that excited about it.\u00c2\u00a0 It was a bit of a let down because of that.<\/p>\n
